How to remove CBS.log

How to remove CBS.log file?
CBS.log file is taking huge disk space.
C drive is full because of CBS file.
How to delete CBS.Log file?

CBS log files are located at C:\Windows\Logs\CBS

To remove the log files follow the below steps,

Run Command prompt with Administrative Rights,

Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right Click on "Command Prompt"
Click on "Run As Administrator

Run following commands

net stop TrustedInstaller

del /f %windir%\logs\cbs\*.log

net start TrustedInstaller

The above commands will delete the CBS Log files and will free the space.
Once you start the TrustedInstaller service it will recreate the file with 0 utilized space.

How to Disconnect a Mapped Network Drive

Disconnect network drive
Stop a network drive from automatically mapping
Disconnect mapped drive with “Reconnect at logon” setting
How to Disconnect a Mapped Network Drive
How do I unmap a disconnected network drive
Disconnect network drive with “net use” command line command

 

Normally we can disconnect a Mapped Network drive easily with a few mouse clicks

Go to Computer (My Computer)
Right click on Mapped Drive
Select Disconnect

But sometimes it becomes difficult. The same steps doesn’t help disconnecting the mapped drive and the system keeps showing the drives.

Reason:
The drive must have been connected with an option of “Reconnect at logon” and the destination system became unavailable. The reason could be network disconnection or the destination system’s decommissioning. Your system keeps trying to connect the network drive.

How to use Google Drive

Google Drive is a replacement for Google Docs. So, if you already have GDocs activated, you will be redirected to drive.google.com when you access docs.google.com.

If you are not using GDocs, you need to activate it now.

Google Drive can be configured in just a few minutes with a few mouse click only.

Login to your Google mail account (yourid@gmail.com)

Now go to the following Google drive site

http://drive.google.com/

Click “Get started with 5 GB free”

Click on “Try Google Drive”

W32Time warning and error resolved

Event Logs
Source : W32Time
Event Type : Warning
Event ID : 24
Description : Time Provider NtpClient: No valid response has been received from domain controller dc.domain.com after 8 attempts to contact it. This domain controller will be discarded as a time source and NtpClient will attempt to discover a new domain controller from which to synchronize.

Event Source: W32Time
Event Type: Error
Event ID: 29
Description : The time provider NtpClient is configured to acquire time from one or more time sources, however none of the sources are currently accessible.  No attempt to contact a source will be made for 15 minutes. NtpClient has no source of accurate time.

Windows Operating System has a built in “Windows Time” service. This service is responsible for synchronizing the systems time with any specified time server.
By default when any computer is added to domain and domain controller has Time server on it, The client machine starts using DC as time server. But if for any reason it goes to any other public time server and fails synchronizing the time, you may find errors and warnings as i was receiving on one of my client machine.
Windows Time service is compatible with both Local and Public SNTP timer server, all you need to do is configure it.

I was continuously noticing W32Time warning and error log in the Event Viewer of one of my PC.

Type following command to check currently configured time server,
