Resolved Blue screen error
“STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF78D2524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)”
On a Laptop “Lenovo IdeaPad Y550” i got a Blue Screen error “STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF78D2524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)”. It started rebooting itself while loading its windows 7. I tried to recover Windows 7 using its own recovery tool but failed. It was unable to read the disk.
I tired to install fresh Windows XP but after loading initial install files it reboots.
While searching the solution for this issue i found following,
1. On start up, press F2 to enter BIOS
2. Expand the “Drives” section
3. Go to “SATA Operation”
4. Change this from “RAID Auto/AHCI” to “RAID Auto/ATA”
It was saying to change the Drive operation mode, looks strange first but i was decided to go with it and went to BIOS setup. On Lenovo IdeaPad Y550 the Drives configuration is different.
I used the followng steps,
1. On start up, pressed F2 to enter BIOS setup
2. Went to “Configuration” tab
3. Located “SATA Mode Selection”
4. Changed the mode from AHCI to IDE
5. Saved the Configuration and rebooted.
This resolved the Blue screen error and i was able to run the fresh install.
